ALPPSregistry Bylaws
Article I – Name and Purpose
- Name: The name of this initiative shall be “ALPPSregistry”.
- Purpose: To collect, curate, analyze, and share data regarding ALPPS procedures worldwide in order to improve patient outcomes, enhance surgical techniques, and promote scientific collaboration.
Article II – Membership
- Eligibility: Membership is open to liver surgeons, researchers, and affiliated healthcare professionals with an interest in ALPPS procedures.
- Types of Members:
- Active Member
- Honorary Member
- Membership Rights: Members have access to data contributions, reports, and participation in scientific activities.
Article III – Governance
- Governing Body: The registry shall be governed by a Executive Committee (Chair and Vice Chair).
- Leadership Structure:
- Each registry platform under the ALPPSregistry umbrella shall have:
- 1 Chair
- 1 Vice Chair
- The Chair and Vice Chair shall serve for a term of four (4) years.
- Chairs and Vice Chairs may be re-elected for one additional term.
- Each platform's leadership shall report to the central ALPPSregistry Executive Committee and collaborate on multicenter initiatives.
- Each registry platform under the ALPPSregistry umbrella shall have:
- Other Officers:
- Scientific Coordinator
- Clinical Research Manager
Article IV – Meetings
- Annual Meeting: An annual meeting shall be held to review data, research findings, and strategic planning.
- Special Meetings: May be convened by the Chair or upon request by the committee.
Article V – Data Use and Ethics
- Data Contribution: Participating centers must adhere to data protection laws and ethical standards.
- Data Access: Only authorized members or research collaborators may access de-identified data, subject to committee approval.
- Publication Policy: All publications must credit ALPPSregistry and follow authorship guidelines approved by the Executive Committee.
